Step 1
Give your horse a correct barefoot trim
You can take photos within 2 weeks of a trim.
Step 2
Prepare FOUR pictures per hoof - this helps us size accurately.
Make sure you use a measuring tape for pictures 1 and 2.
We recommend asking a friend to help you take these photos.
You will need to hold the hoof steady, hold the measuring tape and hold the camera.
Step 3
1. Length Photo
Important: Start the tape measure at the toe and pull it down over the frog.
Hold the camera directly above the hoof.
2. Width Photo
Important: Measure across the widest part of the hoof.
Hold the camera directly above the hoof.
3. Front View Photo
Hold the camera at ground height.
We will need to see an accurate angle of the hoof walls.
4. Side View Photo
Hold the camera at ground height.
We will need to see an accurate angle of the heel bulbs.
